1. Who We Are

Lesbet ("we", "us", "our") operates the Lesbet peer-to-peer prediction platform available at lesbet.app and on mobile. This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: your name, email address, and hashed password when you register.
• Activity data: bets you create or join, challenges you enter, and token transactions.
• Technical data: IP address (used only for rate limiting), device type, and browser.
• Communications: emails we send you (verification, notifications, password reset).

We do not collect payment information. Lesbet tokens have no monetary value.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the platform (bets, challenges, wallet).
• To send transactional emails (verification, bet notifications, password reset).
• To prevent abuse (rate limiting, duplicate account detection).
• To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised usage analysis.

We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party providers:

• Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting. Your account and activity data is stored here.
• Vercel — Application hosting and edge network. Processes requests and logs.
• Resend — Transactional email delivery. Your email address is shared to send notifications.

Each provider operates under their own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

5. Data Retention

• Your data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• When you delete your account, your email and token balance are retained for 90 days to allow account restoration. After 90 days all personal data is permanently deleted.
• Anonymised, aggregated statistics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and associated data via the Profile page.
• Object to or restrict processing in certain circumstances.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.

8. Children

Lesbet is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us and we will delete the account.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version. Continued use of Lesbet after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
